The International Meeting on New Strategies in Bioremediation and Environmental Restoration Processes (BioRemid) is one of the leading international conferences focusing on the topics of bioremediation and environmental biotechnology.
Its fourth edition will take place between 23 and 26 June 2026 in Florence and will bring together scientists, professionals in environmental restoration, and regulatory bodies from Europe and around the world to share the latest developments and innovation aimed at tackling current environmental challenges.
As in its previous edition held in Muttenz (Switzerland) in June 2023, the SYMBIOREM project will feature in a cluster session co-organised by the EU-funded projects of the ALL4BIOREM platform, which will be held on 24 June 2025, from 9.00 to 17.00 CEST.
ALL4BIOREM currently gathers 10 bioremediation projects: MIBIREM, SYMBIOREM, BIOSYSMO, NYMPHE, EDAPHOS, ISLANDR, pHYBi, IASIS, Life INBIOSOIL and BIOREM.
Together with the sister projects BIOSYSMO and NYMPHE, SYMBIOREM will open the day with a morning session from 9.00 to 13.00, where the three projects will showcase the results achieved and discuss policy and funding implications in a roundtable.
The afternoon will be dedicated to the general ALL4BIOREM Cluster Session on the topic of Valorising Contaminated Land, which will highlight opportunities for connecting key topics, technologies and barriers experienced by ALL4BIOREM projects that contribute to the development of the EU bioeconomy sector.
The final agenda of the cluster session will be released in early 2026.
